FL Rain Leads to Trouble in Key West

FLORIDA - A low-pressure system has moved into Florida today bringing a rainy start to the work week. This system was responsible for rainfall totals on Monday between 1-3" with isolated totals over 6".

According to the NWS at Key West, Key West High School reported 6.7" of rainfall, a 100-year three-hour total. This amount of rainfall has led to some stalled cars in the area.

Forecast

Through Tuesday morning, as our low-pressure system moves onshore, rainfall and storms will continue across southern and central Florida. Be wary of overnight thunderstorms that could get gusty and produce waterspouts or even tornadoes.
